CPU usage - 50 to 100%
under window task manager the CPU usage runs in a range of 50% to 100% irrespective of the type of applications being used. under the window task manager "processes" tab various application are utilizing the memory. for eg. whatever processes are being run on the system following processes utilities the maximum memory along with the application which is being run. say if a internet browser is running it would utilize 30,000 K to 40000 K memory and other process would utilize as follows: ashServ.exe 19000k explorer.exe 17000 k ashWebSv.exe 12000k i am using a 40 GB HD having 256 mb ram my hard disk is about 85% utilized Is there any way by which the same can be reduced and system performance can be increased.1 person needs an answerI do too

Start with the basics: The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't? The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?
