Cam only see user accounts in Parental Controls
Greetings, I have a new Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows 7 Home. I created an admin account when I walked through the manufacturer's setup after first turning the laptop on. I then connected the new laptop to my old laptop (OS = Win XP) via a cross-cable so that I could transfer files. I networked the laptops by adding them to the same workgroup (NOT a Homegroup). The admin account on both laptops was named the same and had the same password so I could access both with a single logon. As I began transferring files, I noticed that there were suddenly two more user folders on the new laptop, named the same as the other two accounts on the old laptop. Problem is these additional accounts do not appear in the User Accounts applet. They also do not appear on the start screen so I cannot log in with them. They DO, however, appear in the Parental Controls applet. WTF?? Has anyone ever seen anything like this, and/if so, can you tell me what I need to do so that I can use these user acounts? Thanks in advance. EDIT: By the way, I should also mention that before transferring the files manually, I trired to use the Windows File Transfer utility (or whatever it's called) twiwe, but it locked up/stopeed responding bith times. Many Thanks, Casey
