Can't Access QNAP NAS Files in Directories
Recently bought a QNAP NAS TS-219P+ to have a cental store for all my files. But, when I try and access the files within the directories, it appears that if I try and access a directory that contains a large number of files/directories, Windows Explorer reports that you might not have permissions to access the directory and stops. It must be due to something in Windows 7 as I can access the directory perfectly fine on an XP machine, using exactly the same IP and user credentials. The QNAP NAS is auto discovered in Windows Explorer and I can navigate into several of the directories which contains small numbers of files. But, as soon as it is large number of files or directories, it fails. Ian

After a lot of searching this was fixed with help from this article: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itprovistanetworking/thread/11a5e3e4-3b2b-46bf-9e94-a6ac557fc4f4 The command that fixed it was: netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface id mtu=1460 store=persistent
