Can't access shared folder on Windows 7 from media streamer
I have a Western Digital media streamer that hwas previously able to access a shared folder on my Windows 7 (64bit) laptop. I moved the shared folder so sharing was lost, when I moved it back again and enabled sharing on it I'm unable to access it from the media streamer because i'm told my username and password is incorrect?? I have checked permissions and allowed access to "guest" and "Everyone". Any ideas why this is happening? Advanced sharing settings: Network Discovery: On File and printer sharing: On Public folder sharing: On Media streaming: Off 128bit security (have tried 40 / 50 bit also) Password protected sharing: Off OS Name Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Version 6.1.7600 Build 7600 Nod32 antivirus / firewall which I have tried turning off. Again this has only happened since I deleted the shared folder on my laptop and made a new one. i have no problems accessing the media streamer from my computer. Thanks.

Hi, thank you for posting here. Please try to login with Safe Mode with network or Clean Boot to see if the same issue occurs. The error message of your username and password is incorrect, please make sure the username and password is correct, or you can recreate another username and set password for test. Furthermore, it’s a possible that the issue related with the configuration of your media streamer, you can ask the manufacturer for further help. Thank you for your understanding.
