Can't connect to the internet with XP Professional
I have a desktop which is connected to a Netgear router via an ethernet cable. I also have additional PC's in the home which communicate via wireless through the same router. Recently out of nowhere, the desktop would not connect to the internet, while all the other PC's which are wireless are working fine. I have tested the network interface card on the desktop and it appears to be working fine. In fact, I added a NIC card and it didn't work either. I believe the problem to be in the communications software, possibly corrupted somehow (although a scan revealed no virus). Is there anyway to replace the communications modules without starting over with a fresh copy of XP?1 person needs an answerI do too
