Can't connect to wireless network
After installing Win7 RC, I've been having a few problems connecting.I used to connect my machine via Network Cable, but now, i'm tesing it via the wireless connection using my Linksys WUSB100 Wireless USB Adapter. So, after disconnecting top the Wired network, I'm attempting to connect to the wireless network from my router, a Lynksys WRT1600N V2. When connecting, it asks for a username and password, instead of the passpahrase for the WP2-Personal security. I'm confused....I tried using my windows password but that's not it. tried using the configuration login (the one you us to settings via 192.168.1.1), but also didnot work... tried entring nothing, but failed....so far, my laptop can connect properly... using the usual way.... the one requiring the passphrase.... but it did never ask for a username and password....so I copied the setting to a usb from my laptop to my desktop... now I can connect, but it appears that I am not....it says: "The setting saved on this computer donot match the requirements of the network" so it appearson the system tray grayed-out and with the red X... but by using the computer, I can connect to network resources, and use the internet... but I would want to get this fixed... to be normal...I tried restarting the computer, the router.. re-installing the driver for the Wireless USB, but to no solution.... any help?BTW, my laptop is a x64, and my desktop (having problems) is a x32..... but I don'tthink that's a problem.... in the Win7 beta, I had no problems like this.......

Hello ZEIGHY,Try running the hardware troubleshooter in Action Center and see if theres any conflict with your wireless adapter's driver. Also I had a similar issue to this with Windows Vista in it's early days with that same router. My solution then was to run the setup program that comes with the router and re-setup your network with all new security settings and Passphrase and then store the settings on a USB flash drive. Go to each other computer and delete all wireless networks listed and then run the router's USB setup.-Scott

Before installing the driver change compatability to Windows XP SP3. Now right click on the driver set up file and choose run as administrator.
