I cant't create a VPN connection, because the SSTP service fails to start,shows error 1717. (Vista SP1).I had to change a user account, after that the vpn-wizard started to fail. I also noticed the event log service refused to start.

Hi, Thank you for your post. Regarding the issue that the SSTP service failed start with the error 1717, please try the following steps: 1. Click Start , type regedit in the Search box, and then press ENTER. Note: If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue . Then, click OK 2. Go to registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RasMan 3. In the right panel, click on DependOnService key and remove SstpSvc entry. 4. Reboot the computer and check if you can create VPN connection again.
