Can't figure out how to orientate images in thumbnail view according to EXIF data
I can't find an option to have my photos properly rotated in windows explorer thumbnail view in windows 7. I'm not going to insult the developers by suggesting that such a staggeringly obvious feature is missing, I just need help finding it. All my image viewers orientate pictures according to the EXIF data, so I'm baffled that I can't find the option to make windows explorer do it. Looking at pictures on their sides is very tedious. Thanks

Hi JohnTul, Thanks for letting us know the requirements and I will forward your feedback to our related team. Meanwhile, as you mentioned, the orientation information is saved in EXIF data section of the picture files. By default, in Windows Explorer's thumbnail view, the original file is displayed (will not be rotated). Generally speaking, I think that this behavior is expected and sometimes is necessary. For example, for photographers, they need to identify these kind of photos which need to be rotated before publishing the photos or sending them to viewers. However, I also agree with you that it would be nice to include a new option to automatically rotate the photo thumbnail, according to their EXIF. Again, thank you for your feedback! Regards, Joe Wu
