Can't run chkdsk on boot
I am not a computer expert by any means, but have a corrupted quicktime file that needs repaired so I can use iTunes. I have tried to do the command prompt chkdsk c:/f and then say yes to schedule on restart. However, when I restart nothing happens. I
have seen articles with links to a Microsoft hotfix, but don't know which one I need. The platforms say 64b and 128b (if I remember right). Is this referring to the operating systems bits? If so, mine is only 32. Please help!!!

Hi,
If the command didn't work on startup. I suggest booting into WinRE. Please keep pressing F8 when starting the computer and choose Startup Repair. Open the command
prompt and run chkdsk C: /f /r
Also, check the following KB to load the hotfix.
