Can't send WOL packets
I can't seem to send WOL packets to other machines on the local network from a computer running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. After my own scripts failed to wake up a computer on the LAN, I tested several other programs with the same result. I ran Wireshark on my computer and on another on the LAN, neither one picked up any WOL packets. The local firewall rules have not been changed from the default configuration. Firewall logs don't contains any suspicous entries. I'm probably overlooking the obvious. Any advice? Thanks, Malte

Any ideas, please? The problem still exists... I now remember that WOL from Windows 7 worked when I started using the computer. So the culprit must be something I installed or some configuration change I performed. I assume, that excludes the firewall software? What else could it be? Which system component is likely to silently swallow WOL packets?
