Can Win 7 Home Premium read-write files hosted in a Win2k Domain Server ?
I am new to Win7 and cannot read or write shared files hosted in a Domain Server. This can be done with all editions of Win since ...When I do Map Net Drive the system refuses password (that is Ok)Idem with net use ... that would work (and effectively does) in Win2k or Xp.Firewalls are off. What am I missing ?I have read that Pro edition can: "Connect to company networks easily and more securely with Domain Join. ", but cannot believe Home premium can not share. Thanks for pointing me in the wright direction.HB

Hi, Based on my research, please try the following: 1. Please use you domain account and password to access the share. 2. Check if you can access the shares with UNC (\\server name\folder or \\IP Address\folder). 3. On the Windows 7 computer, please go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings and ensure that the following are turned on: Network Discovery File and printer sharing And the following is OFF: Password protected sharing Hope this helps.
