Can Windows 7 CoExist?
Hello, I have a mutiple drive PC with Windows XP (32 bit). Can I install 64 bit Windows 7 on a "separate drive" on my computer and still hold on to my 32 bit XP? Thank You.

See this tutorial for how to setup a dual boot environment with Windows 7 and XP. It covers both methods, XP installed first or Windows 7 installed first.

Yes its called a dual Boot
Be aware that in the normal course of installing W7 onto another Partition or drive
it will overwrite the MBR of the drive/partition where XP is installed in order to
create the dual Boot startup. Be sure to pick the right drive/Partition during the new install
Be also aware that all programs that you wish to run under W7 would need to be installed
while running W7 and preferably not into the same directory as used under XP since I assume you
would actually be installing 64 bit programs.
All of this is assuming your machine is capable of running a 64bit OS??
My favorite method for dual boot is to disconnect the XP drive and then install W7 onto the other HD.
This way no MBR gets changed and you decide which HD to boot from by means of pushing the F12 key
during the boot sequence which would bring up a list of HD to boot from. This will only work
if your BIOS supports this option...you can check by rebooting and looking at the bottom of the screen..
When the time comes that you wish to only use W7 you just need to format the drive with XP on it no need
to edit the MBR...no mess no fuss
good luck

Peter, maybe you have selected that larger
font in order to be louder since what you have to say is of greater
importance.
Or possibly you do this to give the impression of elevated status as though you
are a Moderator here.
In any case, the ragged nntp-like margins you edit are inconsistent with the format of this forum
and cause your posts
to stand out as an even worse eyesore than their content, making
the entire page unpleasant for everyone to view.
Maybe you will consider toning it down.
in passing, it might be worthwhile mentioning a difference between upgrade versus
full licenses.
