Can not browse nor ping anything when connected through VPN and AT&T USB Aircard
I have a HP EliteBook 6930p running windows 7 pro with an AT&T USB Lightning AirCard and Cisco VPN ver 5.0.07.0410 When I connect to the internet with my aircard I can browse and go everywhere with no problems at all. Everything works fine. When I want to connect to my work, I'll launch the cisco client and log into it fine. No Errors at all. My Network engineer can see it makes the connection on his end but the router will not allow anything to return to my laptop. When do an IPconfig / all I see the AT&T system sending me an ip of 10.192.187.xxx Any ideas on why I can not browse to anything, nor ping anything while connect via VPN?

Hi, Hopes following link would help you, also you should ask your network engineer to set up at server side: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/317025 Also, you shuold make sure the remote gateway is pingable.

I ran into this a few month's back, exact same symptoms... here's an excerpt from the fine print on Cisco's Cisco VPN Release Notes - This release, however, does not support WWAN devices (also called wireless data cards) on Windows 7 x86 (32-bit) and x64. For support of WWAN devices on Windows 7, please use the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility client. The traditional "Cisco VPN client" doesn't officially support WWAN cards (and never did). It seemed like we were OK when we were using the old 3G cards, but we were definitely stopped dead when we moved to the 4Gs. Your best bet is to get your network engineer to move you to whichever version of the AnyConnect Secure Mobility client that your Cisco hardware supports. That's what we ended up doing and all is now well. Hope this helps.
