I am using XP Home Edition, and am unable to create a new user account. I am logged in as Administrator (in Safe Mode), or with a different user account that has admin permissions (in Standard Mode). From the Control Panel, I select User Accounts, then Create a New Account. From this window, I am unable to type in a new account name. Nothing happens. I can only cancel. If I try to do this from a right-click on My Computer, then select Manage, there is no option for Users and Groups. I suspect that my primary user account may be corrupted (I cannot install successfully some new software), and that's why I've tried to create a new account to debug my software install. Any help is appreciated! (BTW, I've uninstalled and reinstalled all of the .NET versions, run AVG, Spybot, ccleaner, disk cleanup)1 person needs an answerI do too
