Cannot access desktop when not connected to the domain, it gives me an error!
Hello everyone! First off; thanks for taking your time and entering my thread. I've got a server running on server 2008 and alot of XP machines (with GPO-extension ofc) that work flawlessly. When I log onto the server with these machines they load the desktop, and when I have no internet connection, and still logon I can still access my desktop, just offline. It is locally synchronized. Now when I have no connection on the vista desktop and I try logging in on my account, it gives an error; ''No access to \\SERVERNAME\USERS\USER\DESKTOP'' Error code: 0x80070035 Kan not find the network path. Now its obvious it cannot since I'm not connected to the server, however I was connected to the server before and normally it would synch my desktop and not display this error just give me my icons and stuff. In either case, I tried googling some and it said I had to do something with the 'Vista Sync Center' however, having to synch each and every user folder on the computer would he hours work and then having to do that for each new account. I need it to automatically sync the desktop and when I'm not connected to the server it should still load the desktop icons and files (since the programs are local, so they should work). Anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance and sorry if I haven't been too clear, I'm just here on internship and I don't know that much.

I've searched and I most likely need to enable 'Offline Files' in the group policy. Can anyone confirm if enabling 'Offline Files' actually helps if you want to synchronize your desktop so you can use it when not connected to the domain?

Solved. Offline Files was the problem. ..Well not the problem, but it needed to be enabled and configured within our domain.
