Cannot access specific websites at home while I can everywhere else
I cannot access 3 websites which I used to access daily. I get an error message: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"This problem suddenly happened with my home PC (desktop), as well as my office laptop which I also use at home. The 3 websites CAN be accessed with my office laptop outside of my home. So, it doesn't seem like there's a mistake in my home PC or laptop. My ISP is cablecom in Switzerland, and they told me that the 3 websites work fine. (among which are www.nate.com, www.cyworld.com) I cannot ping these websites. I get a "Request timed out" message. (But I also get this message for SOME websites which I CAN access without problem)From the modem, I connected a router (for WI-FI) and recently another router for my Internet phone. Modem -> Router (Wi-Fi) -> Home PC + Router (Internet phone). The problem started to occur after 10 days I connected a new Router for my Internet phone, so I am not sure that's the cause.I tried to re-boot the modem by pulling out the power and cable for +10 minutes as suggested by my ISP, but in vain. I turned off both routers during this re-boot process. I also tried to reset the routers, etc.Can you please help me??? Million thanks!1 person needs an answerI do too

Hello FrancoisCY,To eliminate the possibility of a DNS problem, try accessing the sites using their IP address rather than their domain name. The IP address for www.nate.com is http://211.234.241.164/The IP address for www.cyworld.com is http://120.50.139.47 but it redirects to http://www.nate.com/?f=cymainFor great advice on all topics XP, visit http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp

http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xpperformance/thread/0c3354f5-f25f-4d5e-a942-31e980f1f757No this is not the problem of pc or laptop , the possibility is due to firewall from your ISP which is blocking the website to access.Did you tried to ping the website try to set a open DNS manually for Primary and secondary DNS eg 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222 in your modem/router.Hope this will doBest of LuckSohail Khan
