Cannot activate Microsoft Reader on Win7
I finally downladed and installed Microsoft Reader after wasting hours on a bogus error message about an HP Web Printer program that was already on the Win7 laptop I just bought. Now the Reader won'l let me activate it because I supposedly don't have some type of security clearance to do so. This is ridiculous because the laptop is used by my husband and myself, the only people who live in the home, and we have not put any security protections on it such as accounts or passwords, etc. Below is what I get when I log into Microsoft to activate Reader: Activation Error The Activation process has failed because you do not have sufficient access. You need to run as a local administrator to activate Microsoft Reader. Please tell me how to stop Microsoft from continuing to stop me from using its software!

Seriously, though, Microsoft--the product DOES look like you've abandoned it. support is useless, the site out-of-date (OS's not listed), version is old." I hope this works for you. I haven't used Reader in years.
