Cannot cancel the error message 'There is no Disk in the Drive etc'
When starting up today I received the error message 'There is no Disk in the Drive. Please insert a Disk into Drive\Device\harddisk\DR1.'I have read the advice from Microsoft online about how to stop thie message re-occuring, but I can't cancel the message no matter how many times I click cancel, close etc. If I can get rid of the message I might be able to sort the problem ! Can anyone offer some advice PLEASE ! Hi Debleena, I have now looked at changing the Drive letter for the Zip Drive. However it is not C as shown in the example but D. The main drive is shown as Drive C which I presume is correct. Should I change the Zip Drive to a completely new letter such as G or just leave it and see if the message comes up again when I next log on ?If I don't use the Zip Drive anymore then presumably I could delete it altogether ?I won't do any more until I hear from you !Thanks,Rolfe2

Hi Rolfe2,You may try to give a new drive letter to the drive other than C and D. Thereafter, check if the issue persists. For more information, refer this link: How to change drive letter assignments in Windows XPHope the information helps. Please post back and let us know.RegardsDebleena SMicrosoft Answers Support EngineerVisit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.
