Cannot connect to secured Wireless network
Windows 7 64 bit Gateway laptop has a built in Atheros wireless lan card. It can connect to unsecured networks, but when trying to connect to a secured, just after entering the password, it says there was an error. I plugged in a Trendnet TEW-424UB v3.x
into a USB port and the drivers were auto installed. I tried connecting and it would not let me connect to secured WPA2-AES networks either. So I then downloaded the Trendnet wireless utility and installed it. I was then able to connect to the WPA2 secured
networks just fine. I disabled the Trendnet USB Wifi adapter and then enabled the built in Atheros and tried to connect and it connected just fine. It must be a problem with Win 7 security? Anyway it work for me now, I just thought I would post this for info,
to possibly let someone know there is maybe a bug.
