Hi, Have you checked for any background processes of Outlook Express. Try and start Outlook Express in Safe Mode and end all of its processes.

I'm having the same problem............not to sound like an idiot but HOW do I start Outlook Express in safe mode to try this solution? I started having this problem right after the last batch of Microsoft Updates last week. The computer has been shut down and rebooted numerous times since then. Please help me get this program back.

hi, sorry no answers, but I assure you, you're not alone re. ..'how to start Outlook in safe mode'. EVERY time I try to get an answer to anything -I end up with so many more questions!! it's absurd...and Microsoft sure isn't doing anything to make their "help" user friendly (to non-geeks like me) good luck!
