Cannot restore Image Backup from Windows 7
I have USB hard drive I used on my desktop system with VISTA on it. Everything worked fine so when I got my new PC with windows 7 I deleted everything on the drive and put it on the new system. I did a windows full system image backup and it
went ok. When I check the drive it has the windows image backup on it. I tried to do a restore from it by pressing F8 and everything went ok. It went into restore mode and I told it to restore my system from an image file. At this point
it says I do not have an image file on the system even though the USB hard drive is on the system. Why can't it find the image file? Does it have anything to do with the fact that the new system is a 64bit system?

Make a System Repair Disc on your Win 7 64bit system. Connect your drive which contains the backup, if its external drive. Boot from the System Repair Disc. Choose the option to restore from a backup. ________________________________________ ________________________________________
DISC - CREATE A SYSTEM REPAIR DISC START | type System Repair | Enter key | Create Disc button ________________________________________ ________________________________________

Hi hprabowo,
Is your old system is 32-bit system?
If so ,you cannot make a 64-bit system restore from the backup created by a 32-bit system.
Refer to:
Restore your computer from a system image backup.
