Cannot sign in to Lync because your computer clock is not set correctly - Lync 2013
Hi,
I have this error "Cannot sign in to Lync because your computer clock is not set correctly" when I try to connect to a Lync Server 2013 test environment.
All my servers and client machines have the correct date and time. The servers and external client machines are in different time zone.
No error or warning events on event viewer.
Kerberos and NTLM is enabled.
Thanks,

I have checked that several times and all my servers and workstations have the clock with the correct time.
It's a lab environment so I have 1 DC, 1 Edge and 1 STD, with 2 o 3 workstations. So it's easy to check the clock on these machines.
It's very strange...

Any idea?

Stupid thing...
These servers are deployed on Cloud Environment and for some reason I fix the time and after some hours it back to a wrong time...
Conclusion: The error message and Lisa was right.
Thanks!

I just had this error when setting up a new system with Windows 8 and Office 2013. In my case, the resolution was different.
On my Lync enabled phone, I have it set to 24 hour time. On the 'new' PC it was set to standard 12 hour format(as was the old PC with 2010...which worked fine). Thinking this might be the issue, I changed the new PC to 24 hour time, it defaulted
to a PM time 2300hrs instead of 1100hrs. Once I changed it to 11:00, Lync signed it perfectly.
In my case, the issue was 24 hour time instead of the default 12 hour time.
Hope that helps anyone with a similar issue.

I had to perform an AD password reset and wait 5-10 minutes for the change to propagate throughout all the AZ's
my issue made no sense either.
hopefully this helps!

Hi,
It is strange issue.
I have fixed it when I clicked "Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving time" under the Time Zone Settings in Date and Time.
Then it has changed time to the Dayligh Saving time and the sign-in went fine.
There is no other option to change to the Daylight Saving time. There is only this one - automatically.
Hope it will help you.
I think the same trick will do the time sync from internet.
