Change default logon domain name in the logon screen
Hi, I've tried to implement this solution http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555050 on my W7 Ent (joined to domain A) without any success. The main idea to setup script for users from domain B and allow them to login to W7 from domain A without typing domainB\username. Any ideas how to do it? Thank you!

I don't know what your DC is, but if you're using 2008 or have an extended schema for GPO: There is a group policy found in Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon called “Assign a default domain for logon “. Enable this policy, enter your domain’s name and you are finished.

Thank you TheRedFedora you answer gave me some ideas how to accomplish this without applying GPO (local or domain). I simply place following REG file as a task in my SCCM TS and as result I have W7 computer from domain A but with default logon domain B: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System] "DefaultLogonDomain"="DOMAINB"
