Changing the Windows 7 RDP Listening Port
I have a need to change the listening port for my new Windows 7 Pro system. Can someone explain how this is done? It looks like the old method of editing the Registry no longer works!!

Are you sure that you've tried this method: http://superuser.com/questions/63107/how-do-i-change-rdp-port-on-windows-7 ? Because it is signed as working. --- Paul Svirin StarWind Software developer ( http://www.starwindsoftware.com )

I am having a similar issue. I have followed the standard procedure (as per many machines before) and made the registry change, but in practice the listening port is not changing. I can still connect locally on 3389 (default) even though I have set the listening port to 3391. Netstat -a shows 3389 listening but does not show 3391.

Did you reboot after making the change in the registry?MS-MVP Windows Desktop Experience, "When all else fails, read the instructions"
