Hello, I have been very frustrated by Windows 7 search. How do I search for hidden files and folders and o/s files in the new Search 4.0? I was looking for .pbk and .pbr file locations in Windows 7 and I had to look them up manually because search was not able to locate them. Does anybody know if and how I can install or get back the old search companion from Windows XP? Desktop Search should be able to locate these files. In our test computers it works properly. Just click Start, enter .pbk or .pbr in the Start Search box and do not leave the Start menu. You will get a list.Arthur Xie - MSFT
