helpsp,The best way to clean those machines is to format them and reinstall the OS.The second best way is to boot them using a Linux based distribution CD so that the HD is not Active making it extremely difficult for the malware to hide -Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 - all articlesYou'll still need to run malware or root kit detectors once the systems have been cleaned by Kaspersky. The following are very handy -GmerF-Secure Blacklight Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool ( should be installed monthly via Windows Update )Malwarebytes Anti-malwareSpybot Search & Destroy ( excellent for cleaning malware registry entries; not so excellent for providing Protection for the system )The bigger question is, how were these systems compromised in the first place ?The OS must be kept up to date and so should each program/application.Most compromises done today are via outdated software such as Adobe Flash/Reader, outdated and vulnerable Java runtimes, etc.The systems should all be behind a router that contains a hardware firewall and then the native Windows firewall.Upgrade Internet Explorer to IE8 even if it's not the browser that's being used.If the Users prefer a Mozilla based browser, install the NoScript add on.And, finally, educate the Users about downloading and installing video & audio codecs when a web site prompts them to, about the dangers of email attachments, pirated software, and visiting dodgy websites that offer something that is too good to be true.MowGreen Windows Expert IT Pro - Consumer Security
