Compulsory to install Win updates for a system that'll never be connected to the Net or exposed to any nasties?
Hi,I was just wondering what is the official (or unofficial!) stance regarding installing Windows updates on a XP system that will never be connected to the Internet?I realise that I can potentially introduce nasties via a disc, flash drive, etc. But what if I was never going to introduce anything alien to this particular PC?I also realise that I could be forfeiting other functionality benefits that updates sometimes provide. Thanks for any knowledgeable comments.

if the pc is static-nothing in-nothing out-no connections-doing nothing-just sitting there-sometimes booted up for fun-its fine.updates are a FREE choice for the user there is nothing "official/un-official about it, its up to you.
