Computer restarts when exporting from After Effects CS4
I am having issues with my machine. Everytime I export (typically quicktime) from After Effects CS4 the machine crashes and auto restarts. Here is a link to the minidump files the machine created. http://www.mediafire.com/?2mvh5p1p3w2c22d Any help would be great. Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I will update the bios first and see if that fixes the problem then possibly run that RAM memory test. Hopefully I wont have to post to this again. Again, thanks for the help. Dylan

Well, the machine runs fine and I should be able to update the bios. Its only crashes when i render something out of after effects. Do you think it could be a problem with the video card? Or is there anything to indicate that? I can RAM preview in After Effects and everything runs dandy. Its only when I try to export that things go haywire.

Do you think it could be a problem with the video card? Or is there anything to indicate that? No. For me it is more a CPU/RAM or Motherboard issue. But I have no real idea what this BUSLG_RES_RD_M_NOTIMEOUT_ERR means. because this here and the show copies from my replies are the only result in google. If the RAM test is ok, test your CPU with Prime95 for stability. if both checks work fine, contact the MS or AMD support directly. They can decode this better."A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

This seems pretty new - possibly due to an update I'm now thinking after googling and only finding this post?! I'm getting random bsod's - i've stressed the cpu with tost, occt and others but can't seem to 'trigger' the bsod. So far this has occurred at least 4 times in the last couple of days. Event log is full of 'event 47 WHEA-Logger': A corrected hardware error has occurred. Component: Memory Error Source: Corrected Machine Check The details view of this entry contains further information. I have a supermicro H8DCE Board, 2x Dual Core AMD Opteron CPU's, NVIDIA 7800 GTX, 6GB RAM - I've tried 1 stick of ram in different slots - I'm yet to try eliminating CPU 2, as " BUSLG_RES_RD_M_NOTIMEOUT_ERR (Proc 2 Bank 4)" - I'm assuming the bigcheck is meaning CPU2? You are right. I've managed to find the cause of the issue after sourcing another ram module and testing it alone it turns out that all of my own ram seems to be faulty and is getting pretty hot for some reason so must have overheated. Despite the amount of fans i'm running the ram still manages to get to ridiculous temperatures, too hot to touch. I have had one odd cl 2.5 dimm, the rest are cl3, voltage shows as 2.6 in BIOS. After replacing with one single 1 gb stick the error has cleared. Hope this helps.
