Connecting to a server
Wonder if anyone has an idea what this problem might be: I teach a online community college class in Expression Web 3. Students upload to our server that using FrontPage Extensions through the Expression Web 3 interface. All students have been uploading without problems, however, SUDDENLY (after 2 months) some of the students using Windows 7 have been unable to connect to the server. (I can connect just fine to their accounts using WinXP and their logins.) Now, I noticed that Microsoft released a bunch of Win7 updates, including security updates, right before this happened, and I wonder if there is a connection…or not. Can anyone shed light on this problem and how it might be solved? I'd be most grateful!

Thank you! That certainly explains it. Though it is weird, that the students have been sucessful up to now.

Well, now I'm not so sure this is the answer. Uploading to a server with FPSE extensions may not not be the same as installing it on the local computer. Over on the Expression Web forum one user says: I am using Windows 7 Pro 64bit and I have several websites that have FP extensions and I thus far have had no problems related to those extensions. Another says: I don't read that link as having anything to do with you logging into a remote host using FPSEs. Logging into a remote host has nothing to do with not being able to install FPSEs on your Win 7 machine (with IIS, for example), which is what I think the link is talking about. Soo, if you have any other insights, pls let me know. I'm grateful for your help.
