Constant stream of x's
I'm not sure why this is happening, but i've been getting a constant stream of x's in virtually every text-input box. Am currently using an Asus U30JC laptop, and am absolutely certain nothing is resting on the X key. Could this be malware, or a software/hardware issue? I am currently uusing an updatedcopy of norton internet security 2010.

Lystyl - Could it be the key is simply jammed in the down position? I've seen that happen a few times (though it was the Alt key, not a letter). Jiggling the key a few times got it unstuck.

The problem strangely disappeared - not sure if rejiggling or connecting a keyboard solved the issue, but it's settled for now. Hope I won't have to reopen this case again!

I still suggest a spare keyboard, just in case. Sounds like some ____ is in the keyboard where it should not be. Vote if answered or helpful, I am running for Office (joke)! IT/Developer, Windows/Linux/Mainframe Need a some parts finish the new server, see the site for remaining items needed
