Hey Guys,

It's been a frustrating few weeks. I just keep getting BSOD left and right, and it's very hard to maintain a leveled system I can rely on. I am no expert on bsod dumps, but after researching the ntoskrnl.exe bsod, it seems hardware related. That's why I am listing all my hardware below.

Here's my setup:

MSI GD-65  Z87 Motherboard

G-Skill 2400mhz DDR3 memory, 4x4gb

Intel i7 4770k processor

AMD R9 290x GPU

Logitech G700s mouse

Corsair RGB k70 keyboard

Creative X-FI Titanium HD sound card

Evga 1000G2 PSU

I have no idea what I am doing wrong or what is going wrong. I've read a lot of cases related to the Killer NIC E2200 software suite causing BSOD. So, yesterday, I formatted windows to only include the inf drivers, and none of the software from the Killer NIC suite. But I just received two new BSOD today.

The Netio.sys is related to the network HW and SW

is there any other security software (include antivirus and firewall) installed?

some of free antivirus software like AVG, Mcafee, Avira maybe will caused this kind of issue, perform clean installation once again and exclude that security software (if any)

try to reset BIOS and disable virtualization (if any) to test

I suggest try at safe mode with networking if this issue also persist there, if persist this is driver or HW issue

Another workaround, just update the driver version of your NIC (without killer) if your version older than this

I also suggest you try to ask your mainboard manufactured regarding HW TS for this mainboard model

just to make sure, try at safe mode with networking, if issue not persist there, try to uninstall ESET Smart Security and download the latest version (7 or 8)

Sooo.....keep getting nostkrnl.exe bsods even with my router switched out and a different NIC. I am not even attaching my NAS to the other router as well.

Long story short, I ordered an ASUS Maximus VII motherboard. Should be here tomorrow. Hopefully its only the MSI motherboard that's causing me bsod and not some other hardware not playing nicely. Will update once I have it installed and some regression testing done.

Hey Again Guys,

Finished installing all the hardware and software for the new motherboard. I have to say, it's extremely solid. I have no issues running 4x4gb G-Skill Trident-X at 2400mhz, something my other motherboard couldn't even do. Did a lot of regression and stress testing and no bsod or errors so far. I am thinking it was the hardware faults caused by the MSI board. Asus saves the day.....at least it appears that way so far.
