Control Panel Windows Firewall screen did not start. Corrupt Firewall.cpl or Registry?
When I tried to bring up Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall (or manually run firewall.cpl), the screen flashed quickly and it did not show the screen. It was working earlier but after I added a few firewall exceptions, I could not get back to the firewall screen. I tried SFC /scannow, and it did not report any error. I tried wf.msc and it worked. All the other control panel items appear to be working. There was no error message. I am running Windows 7 Enterprise. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

You may try to restore the system to resolve this issue. If it does not work, try to get another firewall.cpl file from a fine system and replace the corrupt one in your system. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
