This is a Microsoft article about how to "turn off Windows Libraries features that rely on indexed file data": http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd744697(WS.10).aspx#WS_TurnOffWindowsLibraries Is that what you want? I do not think so. When you log into windows 7 on the desktop there is a folder called libraries. I need to stop that appearing on a network computer through a GPO from a windows 2008r2 server

You can use the del command to delete it. http://commandwindows.com/command2.htm If you want to disable Windows 7 Libraries, have a look to this article "How to Disable Windows 7 Libraries": http://www.ehow.com/how_5634356_disable-windows-libraries.html You can use the mentioned solutions as scripts via GPOs.
