Create symlink of dir.
Type command below:
RUNAS /USER:JIM "MKLINK /D PE G:\PE"
Result:
Attempting to start MKLINK /D PE G:\PE as user "JIM-PC\JIM" ...
RUNAS ERROR: Unable to run - MKLINK /D PE G:\PE
1327: Logon failure: user account restriction. Possible reasons are blank passwo
rds not allowed, logon hour restrictions, or a policy restriction has been enfor
ced.
User name Jim belongs to administrator in my local machine, whose passwd is empty.
Question:
How can I create symlink of dir in command line? (I can't use "Run as administrator" context menu.)
Thanks,
JimJim King

Jim,
Set a password for your account JIM and try again.
Kind Regards

My script is a tool for developers. I can't assume what user name is or whether there is a passwd. Now the script copies files from source machine to destination machine. What I want is not to copy but create a simple symlink of dir.
Is it possible to do it easily?
Thanks,
