DDNS with Vista and IIS 7.0
Hello, I'm trying to configure Vista with IIS 7.0 to use the dyndns service. It's been a while since I used IIS so I could use some assistance in just getting my steps straight. This could be basic networking, but like I said, I'm a bit rusty. My configuration is as follows: dyndsn <--->Internet <--cable---> wireless cable modem <--(ethernet connection-->wireless Netgear router<-wireless-->Vista PC with IIS 7.0 I take it there needs to be some configuring at each point along the way. If there are some key specifics I need to do at each point, that would be great information. Thanks in advance!

dyndns.org is a service that hosts dns records for you so that you dont have to maintain your own dns and/or pay for a static ip. it doesnt really have anything to do eith IE7. your netgear router is where you put your dyndns credentials. then, depending on what you are actually truing to accomplish, define access rules in the netgear router and on the vista firewall
