DNS Pointers randomly gets lost
Okay we have 500+ Windows 7 Professional PC's within our Domain across 35 subnets. All PC's have 4 DNS enteries listed. The first 2 are ours and the last 2 are public DNS names. 192.168.92.50 and 192.168.92.51 are two Server 2008 servers handling the DNS, if they fail for whatever reason we've recently added 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 However the issue is at random times 1-3 PC's a week just give up and refer their pointers for DNS to the backup IP's. This is fine if your trying to open up www.cnn.com but most of our tools are built in webpages, one being a sharepoint server called Homepage So they open up IE, and it's not our default homepage anymore it's a generic one out in the cloud. We do a IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS, ARP -d *, and close down all iexplore.exe processes using a simple script to fix the problem. It's never the same PC's doing this, just randomly pops up anywhere on the domain. Trying to resolve this so we can eliminate this problem from happening, any ideas as to where to begin?
