DNS Query Warnings & Errors
Some process is requesting the address of random hosts: Is this normal in Windows 7 or do I have some worm trying to get out of the box? These DNS queries appear at bootand at other times, and often occur after similar DNS query warnings for wpad.mydomain.net and istapi.mydomain.net. The 3 events probably happen before the network is fully awake. System Event 1014 DNS Client: Name resolution for the name uklwcfgjfm.mydomain.net timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded. Name resolution for the name cunrtzomnv.mydomain.net timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded. Any ideas or clues?

Is mydomain.net the real query or have you obfuscated the real domain? If it's obfuscated is it external or your internal domain? Kerry Brown MS-MVP - Windows Desktop Experience
