Defrag and .NET update problems
Keep getting low disk space on C drive message, and clear my temp internet files several times daily. When I analyze to defrag it says I have between 167MB and 257 MB free space but can't defrag because I have 0% free space. Lots of defrag files. New problem. Could it be related to my other recent problem involving .NET framework update won't let me go into standby mode?1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi, As you have stated that you are unable to defragment the hard disk and you get the message that you have 0% free space, this is because you need to have at least 15% of free space to defragment the hard drive. Defrag uses this space as a sorting area for file fragments. If a volume has less than 15 percent free space. It could be possible that you are unable to install .Net Framework, because there is not sufficient space on the hard drive. I would suggest you that you follow the steps mentioned below to free some space from the hard drive:1. Remove unused programs:First, remove programs you don't use anymore. Programs take up space on your computer, and some run in the background without your knowledge. Removing programs you don't use can help restore your computer's performance.2. Free up wasted space: You may free space by running the disk clean-up utilitya. Click “Start”, and then click “My Computer”.b. Right-click “Local Disk”, and then click “Properties”.c. On the “General” tab, click the “Disk Cleanup” button. Disk Cleanup will spend a few minutes examining your disk.d. TheDisk Cleanup dialog box will appear. Select each of the check boxes in theFiles to delete list, and then click “OK”.e. When prompted, click “Yes”. Disk Cleanup will spend several minutes removing these files, which will provide you with more space.
