Defrag and .NET update problems
Keep getting low disk space on C drive message, and clear my temp internet files several times daily. When I analyze to defrag it says I have between 167MB and 257 MB free space but can't defrag because I have 0% free space. Lots of defrag files. New problem. Could it be related to my other recent problem involving .NET framework update won't let me go into standby mode?1 person got this answerI do too

Thank you Gaurav, but I have already removed unwanted programs and programs that are pinned to start-up as well. I have free space, accoding to my disk properties. But none of my free space is available because it all seems to be fragmented. I don't know how or when this happened, because I regularly do a disk clean up and defrag, and this has never happened before. The .NET update problem is no longer affecting my shut down in stand by mode. I'll look later to see if it was ever installed or not. First I'd like to deal with all my free space being fragmented. CAn you help? Thank you, Kristin KAsprzak

Hi,Please help with the following information for better understanding of the issue;1. How many partitions do you have on the hard drive?2. How much free space do you have on each of the partition? You may try to perform a check disk utility to find if there are any issues with the hard drive. Please refer to the link mentioned below to perform check disk:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730714(WS.10).aspx Sincerely Gaurav PrakashVisit ourMicrosoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.

Have you did any restore lately, I had done several and defrag seemed to be all fragmented, so I gave less room in system restore. took care of all the fragmented space.
