Debleena,I have been thinking more about this problem. I have my account that I assigned with Admin., another user account for my wife with limited privileges and the built in Admin. account. The problem started with TurboTax 2010 download. I downloaded from my user account as always. When I try to run TTx the program "shuts down" and I have no screen, etc.. However I noticed that when I went to my wife's user account, the program runs. I don't want the program to run in her account with limited access. I can also run the TTx program from the built in admin. account. That's my problem. Any help or ideas on this is appreciated. TTx tech. is having problems with the same.bob Ganser

Hi rganser,The built-in Administrative account will have super administrative privileges so you are able to run the program. In Windows XP, the limited users cannot make changes or install any application on the machine though they can access the programs already installed that’s the reason you are able to access Turbo Tax from your wife’s account.I would suggest you to create a new administrator user account and check if the issue persists. Follow the given link to create new user account. How to create and configure user accounts in Windows XPIf you don’t have any issue in the new user account, access the link below and follow the steps to fix a corrupted user profile. How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile in WindowsHope the information helps.
