Go to Start and RUN or press Windows Key+Ror open command prompt and type:control userpasswords2Then a dialog box would come up, go to Advance tab and uncheck require user to press Ctrl+Alt+Del and restart your PC.

That's great advice if the person can log into Windows. It doesn't seem from their post that they can.To the original poster: Have you tried typing your user name and leaving the password field blank? It seems that you're no longer using the Welcome Screen but the classic logon box and someone has set the requirement to press Ctrl-Alt-Del before you can get that logon box. Is this a company workstation or a home computer? If you can't remember your username, type "Administrator" without the quotes. If you never set a password, leave it blank. Once you are into the system, go to User Accounts in Control Panel and click on the link to change the way users log on. Here you can check "Use the Welcome Screen".If that doesn't work, please post back and tell us what happened.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
