Desktop mirroring from PC VS Tablet

Just a thought- I own both a Desktop PC within installed Windows 8.1,  and Acer Switch 10 on which installed Windows 8.1 (Not RT).

Also I own Samsung Smart TV (4600, 50").

I can desktop mirror my desktop PC when it is connected with HDMI cable, but I can't wirelessly. On the other hand, The Acer tablet is able to desktop mirror wirelessly without problem (well, maybe a bit laggish but I took that into my calculation). Just in case, I can use DLNA (I think that's the word?) with certain softwares and send a movie directly to tv so it shows up there, but still can't do that to my desktop.

Point being is- why can't I desktop mirror wirelessly from my PC, but I can from my tablet?

Just curious.

Hi

Which step were you stuck in. if your TV could not detect the computer. Make sure your TV is in same subnet with your desktop. Disable Windows and other 3rd firewall program and check. Install newest firmware for your smart TV. As there are lots of DLNA server app I am supposing, I simply searched online, and many cases suggest we could try another app and give it another try.
