Disable Active Sync
So, this one is a bit tricky. I don't use active sync... ever... Normaly it would not bother me that this starts automatically with Windows. However when i notice Wcescomm delaying my shutdown by a magnificent 14.9 seconds it kind of bugs me. I've tried disabling it of course, but it seems like it only adds itself to windows startup even before i reboot. so no luck doing that through msconfig. Does anyone have an alternative solution i might try?

I believe that is associated with a PDA or similar device. You should be able to disable it through that devices settings. Does it show up as a Windows service? If so, disable it there. SC Tom
