Disable password complexity in Win7 Home Premium
How do you disable requirements for complex passwords in Windows 7 Home Premium? Obviously in Pro/Ultimate you pop into Local Security Policy and tag the radio button, but I'm stuck with Home Premium, and some stupid piece of software enabled complexity and it's bothering me. Have googled furiously and not found it anywhere - ALL of the results assume a system you can get into secpol.msc on. I presume there's either a command line function (like the net user/net accounts commands to change some other security options) or a registry key, since this program set it with a minimum of fuss, but it doesn't seem to be listed anywhere. If anyone knows this one off the top of their heads, it'd be appreciated. Cheers!

Hi, There is no Local Security Policy in Windows 7 Home edition. In addition, it seems you unable to use the registry key to change this. You can refer to the following thread: Are there registry settings for Password Policies on Windows 2008? http://serverfault.com/questions/91520/are-there-registry-settings-for-password-policies-on-windows-2008 Thank you for your understanding.
