Disable user folder sharing (yet allow admin shares)
I need to restrict users from sharing anything on their computer (there will be some exceptions). I still need the admin shares to work but don't want users sharing out their entire hard drive or music, etc, to everyone. How can I do this? I have a mix of XP, Vista, and Windows 7 machines. Thanks, Stephen

Hi Stephen, If you are a network administrator running on Windows Server machine, you could implement Group Policy to disable file sharing for a user or group. This solution appears to work for Vista clients and above only, what about XP? Also, it appears to only prevent users from sharing out folders within their profile, I want to prevent any share from being created! Anything other ways?
