I cant get my Toshiba External Hard Drive to initialize. It Shows up in Devices and Printers but not in My Computer. When I try initializing it in Disc Management, it brings up an error that says: The drive cannot find the sector requested.

I suspect the drive has an issue.  have you tried it in another computer?  Can we get more information?

Please do the followings:

(1) make sure the disk is properly inserted;

(2) use the Chkdsk utility to check that the disk is not damaged;

(3) format the disk or floppy disk for the appropriate file system (realize that when you format a disk, any information that was previously on the disk will be erased);

(4) check to make sure you do not have a high density floppy disk in a low density floppy drive.

If all is fine, insert this disk into another compute to check the result.
