Documents link in library and explorer doesn't work anymore...
When I click on start, documents, nothing comes up. Same with videos. This happened first to docs, then weeks later to video's. I can access them fine by going to explorer, and navigating through the c: drive.anyone else seen this?jfJimmy Fallon Computer Assistance www.mainstreetchatham.com

When you right-click the Documents shortcut and choose properties, what does it have listed as library locations?Ned Pyle [MSFT] - MS Enterprise Platforms Support - Beta Team

Hi jimmyfal, Press Win+E, can you view Libraries? If so, please right click on it and choose New->Library, and rename the new item to Documents. Does it work?

Yes, when I press Win+E libraries do show up. You say right click on IT, on what? When I right click on LIBRARIES, there is an option to restore default libraries, doesn't work. When I right click in an empty space, then choose NEW, it is blank...jfJimmy Fallon Computer Assistance www.mainstreetchatham.com

It sounds like you lost permissions to the library folder or it is missing. Navigate to c:\users\%username%\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows. There you will, or at least should, see the libraries folder. If not, then you have your problem. If so, check the permissions and location by right-clicking and selecting properties.

Well i found properties for Docs, and Library tab was missing, so I added jimmy as a user with full permissions and that fixed it! However, I did the same to video's and no fix yet. Weird...jfJimmy Fallon Computer Assistance www.mainstreetchatham.com

Since you now have your libraries working again, or least you are further along than before, see if you can add your videos folder to the libraries by right-clicking in the libraries folders and creating a new library. Give it a nice name and point it to your c:\users\%username%\My Videos (yes, I hate my that precedes the name of the folder too) directory.

When I right click on new in library folder it is blank "empty". and when I click on my actual video folder in explorer there is an option to add to library but nothing happens.Jimmy Fallon Computer Assistance www.mainstreetchatham.com
