Drive Missing after windows 7 installation
I recently installed windows 7 on my computer. Previosly i had windows xp with 4 main partitions that C, D, E and F drives. I installed windows 7 on the c drive by the automatic format option shown during windows 7 installation. once windows was installed, i opened the computer to see only c,d,e drives. the 'd' drive from my windows sp seems to be missing. the e and f drives from windows xp are named as d and e drives respectively (on windows 7). when i go to the device manager and check my hard disk, it shows my previous 'd' drives name (anirudh) but does not show any letter which specifies the partion of the frive. there is no 'c', 'd' or 'e' and so on on the drive name. that drive had a lot of data and i need help to get the drive ti function.

Go to Disk Management and assign and/or change drive letters to the disks and partitions. Your Windows 7 system partition must remain C.
