I understand using BCDEdit works with this type of problem. Instructions can be found in the following link;http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/2014/vista_using_bcdedit_boot_up_options_dual_boot_xp_prof/Hope this helps.wolfie

It's my understanding that NO windows boot loader will EVER recognize a linux partition. (I could be wrong here). Therefore, your grub boot loader will have to be fixed and edited whilein linux OR use a third party boot loading program. It is my strategy to keep Windows and linux away from each other as much as possible, but I do enjoy them both. If you feel they must be on the same machine (at the same time) I would suggest that you re-install - WinXP first, W7RC second, and finally linux. In the end, use the grub boot loader, not windows boot loader.W7 promises to be themost compellingwindows OS I've seen since '95. I really do like it.Good Luck!Regards from the Valley of the Sun.
