Duplicate emails in Outlook Express & Outlook 2000 quits upon launch.
1) I recently imported my email from Outlook 2000 to Outlook Express; after doing this a couple times I now have duplicate emails. Is there a way to delete all the duplicates at once so I don't have to go through each and every one and delete the dupes? 2) The reason for action #1 is that I am having trouble with Outlook. When I launch it, it shuts down right after opening with no error message; I must open it many times until it stabilizes. I scanned my pst file and I tried opening Outlook in safe mode but nothing has helped yet.1 person needs an answerI do too

Are copies the duplicate messages still in Outlook? Delete them all from OE and import once again. You can create a new identity in OE to test this and if successful, use that identity and delete the other. The only tool I know of to remove duplicates it this.OEX:http://www.oehelp.com/OEX/I can't help with your Outlook issue. I am having the same problem suddenly. Outlook opens and closes. I can try it again and it does it again. After about 4 times it stays open and I can use it. However, when email comes in from the server, I get 4 or 5 copies of each email (once for each process that is running I suspect.) I'm running Windows XP Professional SP-3. Outlook is 2000 SR-1. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office with no success. Any other ideas? Dell seems stumped and their answer is "buy more software". This just started Sunday, October 3rd. BTW, I did not convert from Outlook Express. I've had Outlook on this PC since I bought it in 2006.

The OP had two questions. One about Outlook Express and another about Outlook. I repeat part of my reply.<Repost>I can't help with your Outlook issue.
